Who provides care?
Special Smiles dentists, dental assistants, nurses, anesthesiologists, and patient care coordinators are highly trained in the care of people ages 8 to 80 who have special needs.
What is the process?
To ensure that we can safely treat the individual who has special needs, we require a referral from the patient’s dentist or primary care provider and completion of our New Patient Intake Form and Health History Form. Next we will contact you to schedule your first visit: an in-person consultation at our New Jersey office.
Where is the facility?
First visit consultations for New Jersey residents are provided at Special Smiles New Jersey, 805 Route 38, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. Get directions. Comprehensive treatment under general anesthesia is provided at our outpatient facility located just off I-95 at 2301 E. Allegheny Ave., Suite 120, Philadelphia 19134.

Do you offer speakers on oral healthcare?
Professionals on the SOS team are available to speak to groups or associations of families who have a loved one with special needs or professionals who work with special needs individuals. There is no charge. Team members are happy to share their expertise on oral healthcare and how individuals with special needs can best receive needed care. Talks can be in-person or virtual, a presentation, a Q&A, or both. The length can be tailored to your group’s needs.
