Special Smiles Hosts Resource Table at Sen. Tartaglione’s Community Picnics

Special Smiles participated in State Senator Tina Tartaglione’s Summer Community Picnics. Each year, the Senator hosts four picnics for her constituents in the 2nd Senatorial District.

Special Smiles — represented by Dr. Mark Goldstein, Patricia Silverio and Gene Castellano — hosted a resource table at the picnics in Norris Park, Lawncrest Recreation Center, and Wissinoming Park (pictured at right). Despite the heat, the picnics were well attended. The community came out in force to enjoy a day of food, music, fun, information, and giveaways.

The Special Smiles resource table was busy throughout each event, with community members stopping by to learn about oral hygiene and how to access dental care. Every visitor walked away with a goodie bag.

Each picnic culminates with Sen. Tartaglione giving a backpack to every child in attendance. Special Smiles, located on Allegheny Avenue in the Senator’s district, is grateful to have participated in such great events with our community.
